Crossplay Board Layout

NYT Crossplay is played on a 15 by 15 board. The center star is where the first word must go. It does not multiply the score.

Crossplay bonus squares

This is the board the Crossplay board solver uses. It has 8 triple-word squares, 8 double-word squares, 20 triple-letter squares, and 20 double-letter squares. The center is a star, not a double-word square. Letter points are on the Crossplay tile values page.

Triple word (TW) multiplies the whole word by 3. Double word (DW) multiplies it by 2. Triple letter (TL) and double letter (DL) multiply that new letter only. Bonuses apply to tiles you place on that turn.
